The benefits of drinking water are well documented. Not that we need all this documentation, its pretty logical really. Its our bodies instinctual drive to drink water. Animal drive. Plant drive. It seems our western ways have diluted our honoring of water and as a result our mind and body health has suffered. Time to remember water for its true worth. Time to observe what has happened as a consequence of not remembering water.Just to raise your focus on the benefits of drinking water before I go any further I’ll just revise the key aspects of water on your health:
- Blood is 83% water - blood wins.
- Muscles are 75% water
- Your brain is 74% water - thanks a lot!
- Bone is 22% water - get out of here.
All the above contain cells - yes? Well, for cells to do what they do best they must have a medium by which they can talk to one another. You got it, Water. The above simply means we need the good stuff. And we need it consistently. Not only that we need to drink water that is quality water.See, like many of our eating habits we consume without questioning what we are eating. We often don’t question because, well, we are thinking other things. We are thinking other things because we are so darn busy ( OK not all of us are). We are also thinking other things because we don’t feel good enough about ourselves to give priority to what makes us feel good, I mean optimally so, only what we think makes us feel good - now. Are you with me?You can answer or “ponder-dance” why you may not be giving enough importance to your health, but lets just say that drinking water is not hard. It just needs to be given a value to you so that your behavior acts accordingly. Now the chicken and the egg are both looking at me. For whatever reason you do not honor the benefits of drinking water that mindset can be improved by drinking water. Get it?So, now we have two ways to go.1/ We wait for leverage. As so many of us humans do, we wait until a health issue large or small forces us to question our behaviors and lifestyle. Problem is, in many, and by no means all, the amount of pain suffered was avoidable. The lesson was there to be learnt far earlier.OR2/ We do little things that do not confront too much but when accumulated over time change our thoughts and actions without us realising it. Remember: from little things big things GROW.Ok, I’ll assume you went for number two. Little things. Here’s some for you, but do not gloss over them though you were doing homework. Treat them as serious steps to achieving one habit ( drinking water ) that will serve you for ever and contribute greatly to changing other habits.
- Buy an expensive water bottle. One that you will honor if for no other reason but you paid good money for it.
- If you haven’t already, buy a car with, sorry, install a bottle holder in your car and on your bike. You do have a bike don’t you?
- Buy or use a big, glass jug and reserve a place for it at the front of the fridge.
- Your paying for your piped water you may as well drink it as well then. You know what makes tap water ALIVE WATER? CLICK HERE It’s one way of ridding your piped water of nasties so that you don’t have to drink bottled water.
- Drink a glass ( make sure it is glass ) just before the coke, the coffee, the whatever.
- If your into affirmations, visualizations or meditation include water in the mix.
- Just look at it. JUST look at it. Just listen to it. Water.
Ok so these aren’t life changing in and of themselves. We seem to be hooked on life changing language when it comes to self improvement of body, mind or spirit. Still as mentioned above, little things become BIG.Off you go and raise your awareness of water - do the “PonderDance” thing then let it in.To your beautiful mind-healthDane

tap water…
Lets get serious everyone. Water is an intelligent substance, capable of so much more than we give it credit for. Honor it by bringing its life back. Its energy back. It deserves it. We deserve it. The planet deserves it….
